“Wang Xu”, born in “Yixing” in 1971, is a member of China's “Zisha” Professional Talent Pool and a cultural inheritor of “Gu Jingzhou's” calligraphy and pottery legacy. He is also an apprentice of Master “Wu Yaping”, a senior researcher-level craft artist. Entering the pottery industry in the early 1990s, “Wang Xu” was influenced by his family's ceramics background and gradually distinguished himself in the “Zisha” community. Over nearly thirty years in the field, he has been fortunate to receive meticulous guidance from masters such as “Gu Jingzhou”, “Lü Yaochen”, “Wu Yaping”, “Wang Yinxian”, and “Bao Zhiqiang”. Through diligent practice and learning from the best, he has made significant progress in his pottery art.

In his extensive artistic journey, “Wang Xu” has adeptly employed his solid skills to expand the scope of his creations. He places equal emphasis on achieving overall aesthetic impact and conveying intrinsic allure. Specializing in the study and crafting of classic vessel forms pioneered by “Gu Jingzhou”, his works exhibit a graceful emulation of nature, coupled with innovative concepts. With refined craftsmanship and a keen cultural sensibility, “Wang Xu’s” pieces have garnered accolades in both domestic and international exhibitions, earning admiration from tea enthusiasts and collectors worldwide.

Under the tutelage of “Wu Yaping”, “Wang Xu” has recently focused on studying the styles and techniques of “Zisha” grandmaster “Gu Jingzhou”. His works, known for their natural inspiration, innovative designs, and elegant shapes, have won numerous awards at both domestic and international exhibitions. He is acclaimed in the industry as a “Gu Jingzhou Pottery Art Inheritor”.
